Good Points: The peaceful & convenient situation of the hotel & grounds. The quiet & comfortable room & facilities.
Bad Points: The only problem was the quality of the 'full English breakfast'
Further Comments: I liked the fact that the Grimsdyke was quietly & conveniently situated. The room was excellent. The only problem I had was with breakfast where I found the cooked English breakfast was poor & virtually inedible. However on mentioning this to the reception staff they very kindly, knocked the cost off my bill. I will definitely stay there again.

Good Points: The hotel is in a beautiful setting, with the annex a few steps from the main building. The restaurant was superb for our evening meal. Thank you

Further Comments: Hotel could be spectacular but needs a lot of updating. Have to go out of hotel to restaurant, not good if raining.

Good Points: No hassle, no neglet, no problem
Bad Points: Shower/bath wasn't axactly 10/10 (not too bad however)
Further Comments: Would have prefered room with 2 single beds, as we were two friends staying! Overall, pleasant visit and a well presented hotel overall. Thanks very much.

Good Points: The history, architecture, location and grounds. Very peaceful.
Bad Points: I found the bedrooms a little tired, and in need of re-furbishment.
Further Comments: Overall, our stay was extremely pleasant, with very attentive staff and excellent food and wine. The bedrooms however (we stayed in two) are in need of some re-furbishment, and the selection of tea and coffee in the rooms was very limited - only one brand of each.

Good Points: Lovely country house hotel in beautiful setting.
Bad Points: The room we had in the garden lodge was very out-dated, although I believe the hotel is in the process of modernizing all the garden lodge rooms.
Further Comments: Although our room was a little shabby and dog-eared, overall the hotel was very nice, and good value for money (considering its proximity to London, and the fact that I booked the room 6 months ago).

Good Points: Very characterful building, beautiful gardens.
Bad Points: There were insufficient chairs/tables outside to enjoy the evening sunshine and warmth, so had to sit in the bar, which was very warm (as well as being very full, being prior to a G & S event that we did not know about.
Further Comments: The price of the deal made it excellent value. We will look to come back when a G & S event is on

Good Points: Very peaceful and beautiful grounds - a lovely place . I would heartily recommend
Bad Points: Unable to specify a non smoking room . A complimentary umbrella would have been useful to get from bedroom to breakfast (weather rainy on the day we arrived
Further Comments: A lovely hotel,we stayed in the Garden lodge - short walk to the main hotel which was absolutely beautiful - the grounds were stunning a real gem
