Ramada Heathrow near Hounslow: Hounslow Hotels

Good Points: It is an ok standard airport one-nighter hotel.
Bad Points: The food. The room service menu raised to high expectations to the food.
Further Comments: The exact travel distance in time (minuttes) by taxi to the nearby airport in rush hour and outside rush hour.

Good Points: Opposite fantastic Indian reataurant
Bad Points: Lots of expensive add-ons.
Further Comments: We stayed here to make an early departure from Heathrow. There is no courtesy bus on a Sunday. They charge for the courtesy bus and for the car park. Had I known this I would have researched further.

Further Comments: The hotel is a bit dog eared and is in need of refurbishment. The 1st room I was given reaked of BO and I requested another which I was given. The shower room was in a poor condition with milldew around the shower base and cracking sealant. All 4 tiled walls had been painted which never really works, and the paint was pealing off in a multitude of places. The extractor fan did not work and the toilet flush was not very effective. The taps were leaking and one had its top missing. The curtains in the room were in 3 sections which did not join up because they had not been hung properly. My room's noise proofing was not effective and the hotel's proximity to Heathrow's western glidepath made it noisy when they use runway 27R for landings (landings start early in the morning).

Good Points: The staff were very helpful. The room was large and well equipped.
Further Comments: We were staying overnight prior to flying from Heathrow, when I booked I was under the impression that there was a shuttle bus to the airport but this was not the case. However the reception staff were very helpful in booking us a taxi.The room was clean and well appointed. I would stay there again if I needed an overnight stay before flying.

Good Points: Location
Further Comments: The bathroom wasnt nice at all. The tiles looked as if they had been painted, and the paint was chipping away. The actual room was out of date, decor, didnt have a comfortable feel to it. The hall way was dark, if i was a female i wouldnt feel comfortable walking down the hall. There was a pizza box on the landing by the stair case, which was there for the durantion of the night, which lead me to think what else have they missed. Safety note the windows on the 2nd floor didnt have a catch on it, of which a small child could fall out. There was not hot chocolate in the room either.

Good Points: The staff were very helpful and did their very best to accomodate us as soon as possible. The room was very clean and value for money. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Ramada Jarvis and I would definately come back to your hotel on future trips to London
Bad Points: I cant think of anything which the hotel could improve on except SMALLER KEYRINGS haha.
Further Comments: The hotel was only a short bus ride from Hounslow Tube station which made almost any part of London easily accessible. The rooms were very clean and were of a very high standard. It wasn't what I was expecting for the price we paid - it was alot better. It is great value for money and I would definately like to stay there again. The hotel staff were very helpful indeed, even though we made it hard for them by needing to check in early. They said it wasnt a problem and did their best to accomodate us as soon as they could. They were very polite and I would like to thank them all for their help whilst we were there. We would of never been able to find our way around without their help. Thankyou.

Bad Points: Not having a shuttle to Heathrow except in the mornings at 7,8,9,10a.m
Further Comments: Would in future stay at a hotel closer to the airport, although more expensive, would reserve a hotel offering a shuttle service. As a visitor to the U.K. the taxi driver was VERY reluctant to take me the sort distance and the cost was very high, as he re-adjusted the meter.

Good Points: The accomodation was vey spacious the only thing that comes to mind is the bathrooms looked a tad tired ,it needed revamped,the wall coverings also were a bit tired also.

Good Points: It was simple but everthing was there that I needed
Bad Points: I was only there for a few hours and did not really venture into the hotel, other than my room.
Further Comments: I was a shame that the barrier on the car park did not work and delayed my departure.

Bad Points: Better food service, airport pick-up (we had to use a city bus to get to the hotel). It was difficult to figure out how to get to the hotel.
Further Comments: It would have been good to have clear, simple advance instructions for getting to the hotel.

Bad Points: My room - 318 - although clean was badly in need of refurbishment eg wallpaper coming off walls, tile grouting dirty, paintwork damaged
Further Comments: I would like to have known from the website whether you collected people from the airport. The actual building is more interesting than the website photo - the hotel looks like a warehouse with no windows.

Good Points: The hotel as a building has a character. Friendliness of the lounge/bar area.
Bad Points: The lift. There is not high speed internet in the rooms. The rooms have week sound proofing conditions.
