Good Points: The hotel was in a quiet area but was still relatively close to pubs, restaurants, banks and supermarket. The room was very elegant if a little run down, but fantastic views, the like of which I didn't think I would find in London. An amazing building.
Bad Points: Bizarre squeaky floor boards I think from the guest above me. Also, other guests I encoutered were a tad miserable, but you can just ignore them!!
Further Comments: Overall my stay was very enjoyable - I actually booked this hotel based on other guest reviews online. I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and gorgeous breakfast, the room was needed a little TLC in terms of decoration, however, this was easily overlooked when considering the view and local amenities. I can't think of anything I would like to have known before hand.

Bad Points: The room was not clean and i slept on a towel on top of the bed as the linen was also suspect.
Further Comments: I had heard that this hotel was basic from a colleague, travel lodges are basic, this was poor and i will not stay here again or recommend to a friend. I would rather drive a further 50 miles than stay here.

Good Points: The views were lovely. The beds were comfortable. The little biscuits and tea were delicious and a nice touch. The breakfast was good. It was close to the river, the wonderful shopping area of Richmond and the station and we found some very nice restaurants nearby.The staff were friendly and helpful at all times.
Bad Points: There was no pull on the light switch so I attached a teaspoon. The hot water tap on the bath dripped and wasted water because it was difficult to turn off. It needed a new washer. A little limescale cleaning around the taps and bath would make it look nice.Maybe change the stained lampshades and carpet in the bathroom. The only thing that disturbed the peace a little was the noise of the dustbins being emptied. These are minor details and did not spoil the pleasure of our visit in any way. We loved it and will be back one day!
Further Comments: This is a great hotel with lots of charm in a beatiful and very convenient area close to London.

Bad Points: Doors etc a bit sombre TV a bit old / small. Access a bit messy down corridors and around a bit.
Further Comments: Excellent location and value . Excellent receptionist. It did what it said on the tin and a bit more on top well recommended for our needs.

Good Points: Das Ambiente ist wirklich englisch...nicht besonders modern, aber es hat Charme.
Bad Points: Die Betten sind VIEL zu weich.
Further Comments: Das altertￃﾼmliche englische Ambiente muss man mￃﾶgen und man darf nicht zu pingelig sein (etwas alte Einrichtungen speziell auch das Bad; eine Renovierung wￃﾼrde wahrscheinlich nicht schaden), dann ist es aber ein wirklich sehr schￃﾶner Aufenthalt in hervorragender Lage (Fluss, Park, Bars, Restaurants, Bahnhof,...).
